Terms and Conditions
When making any bookings with Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
- Safety Brief
All passengers will be given a full safety brief prior to departure and will be shown how to effectively put on a life jacket, locate the life ring, first aid kit, fire extinguisher etc.
Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours reserve the right to refuse any passenger, at the skippers discretion, that is deemed to be high risk, meaning you have a medical condition or disability which may hamper your ability to safely participate in the charter or tour.
The ability to climb a ladder unassisted will be required.
Without prejudice Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours does not accept the following as it is deemed high risk on our vessel: No pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy and no blind or physically disabled passengers. Children as well as anyone who cannot swim will be required to wear a life jacket at all times. All passengers will be required to wear a life jacket when traveling through the bar.
Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours reserve the right to ask an passenger to wear a life jacket at any time.
Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours reserve the right to cancel and re schedule any charter or tour due to bad weather at the Skippers discretion only. All deposits and payments made in full will be refunded if trip is canceled due to weather.
- Bookings and Payments
We require $100 deposit when making any booking paid via direct deposit, cheque or cash.
Please note: Payment must be made in full prior to departure.
- Gift Vouchers
All gift vouchers must be presented on the day of the charter or tour, if they are lost or forgotten a full fare will be required before departure. Gift vouchers expire within 12 months of original purchase. They are non transferable and will not be refunded under any circumstances. If booking with a gift voucher no deposit will be required however, if you do not attend for your scheduled trip that gift voucher will be forfeited.
Peak periods (1st December – 30th April):
Deposits will be withheld if cancelling within 7 days of charter, a re-schedule can be arranged at no extra cost within the 7 days.
Off-peak periods (May 1st – 31st November):
Deposits will be withheld if cancelling within 24 hours of charter. A re-schedule can be arranged at no extra cost if organized with more than 48 hours notice.
- General Behavior
Mallacoota Fishing Charters and Tours reserve the right to cancel any charter or tour and return to port where there has been mistreatment of crew or equipment, in this case there will be no refund.
Any equipment lost due to negligence will be charged at the skippers discretion up to $200 per item and or cost’s incurred in damage repair to the boat.
In the case of an individual becoming unwell and requesting to be returned to port the skipper will make a decision relating to the termination of the charter or returning to port to drop the passenger off. In this case there will be no refund.
- Recreational Fishing Licenses
A Victorian Recreational Fishing License is required by all passengers (excluding legal exemptions) on board all fishing charters. It is the responsibility of individuals to obtain fishing licenses. Licenses are available from the Ampol service station in Mallacoota and on line through the Department of Primary Industries website.
